Well Hellooooooo!
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!! I know it's been a while since I have updated, but it's tough to update something with such a slow progress - nothing seems to change on a noticeable scale.
I started back to work last Monday, November 30th. It's been pretty exhausting, but nice to have a schedule and purpose again.
We headed back into BI today, for another follow-up with Dr. Kent. We got there early, everything went smoothly and we were out by the time our appointment was supposed to start - good stuff!
The knot on the top of the incision hadn't disintegrated like it was supposed to, and seeing it has been driving me crazy! Dr. K cut it off, right there in the office, talk about being productive!
We discussed the fact that my breathing has improved (slightly), but that I am still having difficulties. I have been completely off of the oxygen for about a week now, which is being picked up tonight -- no more kegs of air taking up space in our house! The thought process is still that my breathing should continue to improve, albeit slower than we would all like.
I am once again allowed to drive, be submerged in water, use fragrances, have a glass of wine every now and again, and just about anything else I "think I can handle; and although the bone itself is probably healed the pectoral muscles and everything else in that area is going to be sore for quite a while."
The plan is to have a PET Scan at the end of January and then meet with Dr. H and then Dr. K a few days later to see how everything is going and discuss the images -- it is the imaging results that I am looking forward to the most.
Other than adding the dates of the scan/appointments into this blog when I get them, I will probably not update again until the beginning of February.
Have a fantastic holiday season & happy new year!!!
